Taiwanese Tea

Collection: Taiwanese Tea

Taiwan is known for its high mountain oolong teas, celebrated for their rich aroma and layered character.
Grown in cool mountain climates, these teas develop a refined fragrance and a smooth, lingering taste.

Many Taiwanese teas can be infused multiple times, allowing their flavors to slowly unfold with each steep. They are meant to be enjoyed gradually, inviting quiet moments and unhurried tea time.

At MIKA, our Taiwanese teas are carefully sourced directly from small farms and trusted producers.

The Aroma of Taiwanese Tea

The beauty of Taiwanese tea lies in its aroma.

In quiet moments, when you first wake up, during a midday break, or in the softness of an afternoon pause, its fragrance gently accompanies your time.

You don’t need a special teapot or small cups to enjoy it.
As long as your vessel can hold the leaves and keep the warmth, anything works.
Even a mug with a small plate as a lid is enough.

Taiwanese tea is truly flexible.
You can brew a full pot like black tea, or prepare it in a small teapot and enjoy multiple infusions, each revealing a different character.

It’s a tea that adapts to your rhythm.

Taiwanese Tea

My journey into tea deepened when I first discovered Taiwanese tea. Before that, I mostly drank black tea and Japanese green tea.

What surprised me was the elegance of its aroma — delicate, refined, and beautifully layered. The gentle sweetness and the way the flavors continue to unfold with each infusion felt almost endless. It opened a completely new way of enjoying tea.

People often say Taiwanese tea can be steeped many times. While this is true, everyday life does not always allow the time to sit and enjoy many infusions. The beauty of Taiwanese tea is that it adapts easily to your rhythm. You may enjoy just the first cup, blend the first and second infusion together, or simply brew it in a larger pot.

Personally, I prefer brewing it in a small pot, where the aroma and flavor become more concentrated and expressive. But there is no single correct way — Taiwanese tea invites you to find the method that suits your day.

On a quiet weekend or during a slower afternoon, you might choose to savor each infusion one by one. In those moments, the tea offers a deeper sense of calm and relaxation.

Taiwanese tea is wonderfully flexible in this way — a tea that can meet you wherever you are in your day.

A tea you can return to, again and again.
