MIKA Handmade Sandstone Katakuchi | Textured Pouring Vessel

This sandstone katakuchi is handmade at MIKA by Mika Sato and Satoshi Yoshikawa. A traditional Japanese pouring vessel, the katakuchi features a small spout on one side, making it ideal for serving sake, tea, dressings, sauces, or for transferring liquids with ease. The piece is crafted from speckled sandstone clay and finished with a subtly textured glaze, giving it a warm and organic surface. Each katakuchi is wheel-thrown by hand, resulting in slight variations that highlight the individuality and quiet charm of handmade pottery.
